JetBlue will fly to Madrid in Summer 2025, part of the carrier’s strategic approach to European service. The route will operate from Boston from 22 May through 24 October.
The carrier will also build on its 2024 success in Edinburgh with a Boston frequency being added in 2025. That service was JFK-only in 2024.
Those are the only two additions being planned for the carrier’s transatlantic network in 2025, while several markets were cut, including JFK-Gatwick and the second JFK-Paris flight. The new schedule will see seven nightly departures from Boston crossing the Pond and six from JFK. Overall capacity will be approximately the same, just with different routes flying.
JetBlue has significantly shifted it European operations in the past year, with a large number of markets (5x BOS, 2x JFK) running seasonal service and some routes dropped completely.
At the same time, however, the carrier announced plans for lounges in Boston and JFK, serving both international Mint markets and premium credit card holders.
