Vueling passengers can now access wireless IFE on board, including movies, TV, a moving map, and more.
Inflight entertainment is now available on the Vueling fleet. The carrier added a streaming IFE solution, powered by Viasat, allowing passengers to access content via their personal electronic device on board.
With this new onboard entertainment offering, Vueling continues to improve the customer experience by giving customers more ways to enjoy their time in the air. The platform makes it easy to access content and services from any personal device throughout the flight.
– Melanie Berry, Vueling’s Chief Customer Officer
The on-board content is limited – just 18 movies and 23 episodes across a dozen TV series – but it offers a complimentary option for travelers looking to be distracted for an hour or two on board. Half the fleet is currently fitted, with the rollout continuing on the remaining aircraft.
The wireless IFE portal also offers the FlightPath3D interactive map, as well as an inflight menu and shop, allowing travelers to peruse the buying opportunities on board. Orders are still placed directly with cabin crew.
For those looking a bit further afield, the portal also includes access to GetYourGuide, allowing passengers to browse – and book – options for activities and experiences at the destination. The companies declined to share how they’re splitting the commission earned from such purchases.
The carrier’s inflight Wi-Fi service, powered by Viasat’s EAN network, also remains available, including an offering of 15 free minutes per passenger. One need not purchase the Wi-Fi to use the entertainment or associated services.
