All Nippon Airways (ANA) now has access to additional insights on its inflight internet performance thanks to a newly announced partnership with Quvia. The carrier is deploying Quvia’s platform to enable an independent, real-time view of passenger Quality of Experience (QoE), supporting the continued evolution of its in-flight digital experience.
ANA is committed to continually enhancing the experience we provide our customers, including through the expansion of high-speed in-flight connectivity. Quvia will give us greater visibility into connectivity performance and the passenger experience as we continue to strengthen our in-flight services. – Kentaro Okada, Vice President, Customer Experience, ANA

As ANA continues its inflight connectivity evolution, including expanding free, high-speed internet across its international fleet, access to performance data helps deliver insight into how connectivity is performing for passengers across flights, aircraft and routes. Quvia’s position as an independent source of QoE data helps airlines proactively optimize the in-flight experience and drive smarter connectivity decisions.
“As IFC evolves, airlines need a consistent way to understand the passenger experience across the connected aircraft,” added Mike Moeller, SVP, Aviation, Quvia. “ANA is putting that foundation in place now, with better insight to guide decisions today and the flexibility to build on it as new technologies and digital capabilities emerge.”

Quvia also recently announced a Cost Intelligence view, allowing its customers to see how much their connectivity services cost, overlaid on the performance charts. Historical cost and performance data can be compared to current levels, enabling cross-silo planning for capacity planning, budgeting, and commercial decisions.

While that feature is more focused on the multi-provider world, one aviation has not yet fully pursued, it is another way the Quvia platform adds value for its customers. And the potential is there to apply it to aero, if the multi-provider model ever takes off.
