China Airlines will boost its regional inflight entertainment offering with a streaming IFE solution on its A330 fleet. The system, backed by Immfly‘s W-IFE solution, extends the two companies’ partnership to a new fleet type.
The Immfly system enables entertainment content as well as a modern retail solution. Ultimately, explains Immfly co-founder Pablo Linz, the offering is “an advanced, modular solution that empowers airlines to evolve their digital strategy at their own pace while unlocking new revenue opportunities.”
China Airlines previously partnered with Immfly to deploy the system on its 737-800 fleet under the Fantasy Sky branding. The carrier cites strong demand for the service, noting “mobile streaming is undoubtedly the preferred choice for the new generation of travelers with an utilization rate of up to 90% so far this year.”
Based on the high demand the airline will now further expand the deployment.
The new deal comes with a five year term.
