Nearly three years after acquiring the Commercial Aviation business of Gogo, Intelsat is further adjusting the group’s structure to better integrate with the rest of its global communications business. The move will see some roles and reporting structures shifted. As part of the moves the company eliminated the role of President, Commercial Aviation and Jeff Sare has left the organization.
We’re announcing some organizational and operational changes, as we further integrate Commercial Aviation (CA) into Intelsat and transition the group from a division to a business unit. Furthermore, integrating CA more into the rest of Intelsat will result in all other business units benefitting from the new structure.– Internal company memo
Ultimately the company expects significant efficiencies from the transition, allowing multiple verticals to cooperate more easily and to share research & development, inventory, and other resources.
