Turkish Airlines‘ in-flight connectivity will now fly a bit longer. The carrier updated its systems to deliver gate-to-gate service across its fleet.
We will continue to work on new technologies to provide the best of the virtual world just like we do with the real one.
– Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat
The expanded service coverage will launch on 131 aircraft, 74 single-aisle and 57 twin-aisle. The carrier intends to extend the service to other connected aircraft in the fleet over time. The carrier operates more than 300 passenger jets.
The bulk of the carrier’s in-flight internet service is provided by Panasonic Avionics. Turkish also recently activated the in-flight internet service powered by Anuvu on a baker’s dozen 737NG and A321 aircraft.
