
Viasat is changing the way it categorizes revenue and expenses for its operations, bringing more clarity to each of its business verticals. With the revised numbers it is somewhat easier to break out the inflight connectivity revenue, though the company still combines commercial and business aviation in a single reporting line.
The company provides only one year of quarterly history with the new verticals, making it difficult to map patterns with much detail. But there are two facets which pique my interest.
