
Viasat has worked relatively publicly to get its damaged ViaSat-3 satellite into service to boost its inflight connectivity offering, finally activating ~10% of the originally planned capacity last week.
The company has also repeatedly said it would work with partners as appropriate, while generally refusing to name those partners. Based on recent FCC filings, however, we now know that SES, and specifically SES-17 is part of the company’s capacity play.
