Delta Air Lines plans to boost its premium economy offering headed into the summer travel rebound. The carrier announced the addition of a Premium Select cabin to its 767-300s and A330s, among other improvements.
As customers return to travel, we’re bringing them better and more comfortable experiences, and that includes introducing Delta Premium Select to more aircraft in our fleet. We know customers are ready to get back into the world, and that is driving us to accelerate improvements to our aircraft that will give our customers the best onboard products.

The 767-300s will be fitted first, with retrofits beginning in May 2021. The A330 fleet will follow with a mid-July start.
The 763s and A330s are part of the company’s plans to boost Transatlantic service this summer. Both types figure heavily into the company’s plans for expanded Iceland and Greece service from the US. Adding the premium economy option to the offerings should help boost revenues on the routes. That said, the timing of the retrofits means Premium Select won’t necessarily be available on day one of that expanded service.

The Premium Select cabin features wider seats and additional recline, offering customers a more comfortable in-flight experience. Customers seated in Delta Premium Select also receive a TUMI amenity kit, noise-cancelling headsets and a blanket and pillow to help them arrive at their destination refreshed and relaxed.
Both fleet types will also receive additional upgrades like refreshed lavatories, new LED cabin lighting, expanded personal power outlets and memory-foam comfort cushions. Both aircraft will now have four cabin experiences to give customers more options whether booking for business or leisure: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
