Emirates‘ first retrofit 777 returned to service on Wednesday, ahead of schedule. The aircraft features an updated interior, including a premium economy cabin and the updated business class layout, on board.
The new business class cabin offers a 1-2-1 layout, with direct aisle access for all passengers. Measuring 20.7″ wide, each seat converts to a flat bed 78.6″ long. Each passenger also has a 23″ HD screen, backed by Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment platform.

The cabin also includes a small bar area for snacks during the flight.

For premium economy passengers Emirates offers a 2-4-2 layout on the refreshed 777s. The three rows of seats measure 19.5″ wide with 38″ pitch.

The retrofit program formally launched at the end of 2021, targeting 120 aircraft. It was expanded earlier this year to include an additional 71 planes. Under the revised plan Emirates will retrofit 110 A380s and 81 777s.
