Fiji Airways will officially unveil its new 737 MAX on Monday in Nadi. Leading up to the launch the airline is teasing details around its new aircraft type. Among them, we now have public confirmation that the inflight entertainment and connectivity will be provided by Panasonic Avionics. The partnership was reported to PaxEx Premium subscribers last month.

While the carrier does not explicitly state that PAC is the vendor of choice the listing of channels available on the live television offering tell the tale. Panasonic’s exclusive relationship with Sport24 for inflight distribution over the eXTV product makes the partnership clear.
The service will be available on 10″ screens in economy class and larger displays in the business class cabin. All 185 seats on board the new Fiji AIrways 737 MAX include embedded IFE.

Fiji Airways currently holds orders for five of the 737 MAX 8 aircraft. They will replace the five existing 737NG frames in the fleet in by the end of 2019.
Initial destinations for the 737 MAX include Adelaide, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand.
