Action Aviation will fit its BBJ 737 with Gogo‘s Galileo FDX inflight internet solution, bringing high-speed, low-latency internet service on board. The company is the first Middle Eastern operator to contract for FDX, with the deal announced at the 2025 Dubai Air Show.
We are extremely proud to confirm Action Aviation as our first FDX client in the region. We’re even more pleased that the long-time customer, formerly of Satcom Direct, and now as Gogo, has selected our Gogo Galileo ecosystem of product, software, and support services to deliver reliable connectivity to its passengers, wherever they fly.
– Dave Falberg, SVP Sales EMEA, APAC for Gogo
The deal leverages Gogo’s 2024 acquisition of Satcom Direct and the strong international presence, including sales and support, SD brings to the group. In this case, Action Aviation is an existing SD customer that is upgrading to Galileo and remaining a customer, not switching to a new service provider.
Separately, Gogo also signed an agreement to add Eclipse Global Connectivity as an authorized Galileo reseller in the EMEA military and government markets. The agreement authorizes the company to sell the full range of Gogo Galileo equipment. Eclipse can also provide Gogo’s Galileo Government airtime plans, which offer access to the Global OneWeb LEO network.
Eclipse committed to proposing and developing Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for the Gogo terminal hardware, expanding the range of manned and unmanned aircraft platforms that can see the antennae installed.
The Galileo solution accesses low earth orbit satellite capacity on the Eutelsat OneWeb constellation. The FDX terminal is manufactured by Hughes Networks, with Gogo currently holding exclusive access to that hardware in the business aviation market.
