The new Qatar Airways 787-9 formally enters service this week. The carrier will introduce the aircraft, including updates to both the business and economy class cabins, on key routes to to Europe and Asia.

Hawaiian Airlines selects Adient, Collins for 787 seating
When the Hawaiian Airlines 787s enter service in 2021 they will feature an all-new cabin design for the carrier. The new lie-flat business class seats will be provided by upstart Adient Aerospace while the economy class cabin will be fitted by Collins Aerospace.
Boeing, Adient shake up the aircraft seats market
Boeing wants a bigger piece of the overall profits from the planes it sells. Getting into the seating business is the latest move on that front. A new joint venture with Adient brings the seating market in house, likely ruffling a few feathers along the way.
