TCI Aircraft Interiors announced its intentions to join the highly competitive inflight entertainment market last week, unveiling Cornea at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2025. The embedded IFE platform aims to compete as a full-featured solution in a crowded market.
Our Cornea IFE system is designed to give clarity, brightness, and focus to the passenger experience. It is a window into a world of entertainment, connectivity and confidence.
– Mujdat Uludag, General Manager TCI Aircraft Interiors
Cornea launches with a trio of screen sizes: 13″ for economy and 16 or 22″ for premium cabins. The 4K screens leverage quantum dot miniLED technology for a bright, long-lasting display.

The screens include USB-C charging, with options for AC power and wireless charging on offer. Noise-cancelling audio is built in to the platform, as is Bluetooth headphones pairing.
The market is a crowded one, dominated by a trio of heavyweights who historically have crushed every competitor that came along. But TCI believes its close relationship with Turkish Airlines, based on a significant ownership stake in the company, offers a unique advantage.

Wonder why TCI thinks it has a chance to survive even when it knows Delta and Lufthansa failed miserably
There are some extra details in the premium part of the story, but the TK ownership stake is obviously part of it.
