
Travelers on Volato’s fleet of HondaJet aircraft will soon have access to SmartSky‘s inflight internet services. The two companies agreed to fit more than 20 new jets in the fractional fleet operations with the SmartSky LITE solution, with an option to retrofit existing aircraft in the fleet.

Volato’s plan calls for 25 additional HondaJet aircraft to join its operations in the next couple years, on top of an existing 17, which may potentially be retrofit.
The SmartSky LITE offering targets smaller aircraft, with just one antenna installation required. But SmartSky’s President Ryan Stone notes the bandwidth delivered to the aircraft is still of “streaming-level performance.”
