What topics made the cut for The Weekly Wrap this week? Maryann Simson and I recap the incredible Flight Plan event organized earlier in the week by Inmarsat and APEX.
In addition to some interesting stats that came out of the event, we’re also taking a deeper look at how the inflight connectivity market might change and where the value proposition there really lies.
Personal health checks are also a hot topic right now, with different suppliers working on technologies to scan travelers or airport staff. Definitely some privacy concerns, especially as facial recognition joins the testing process. Emirates and Hong Kong International Airport are two leaders we’re looking at right now to see how the systems and services work.
Finally, the COVID-19 containment/transport pods being built for the US Government by Delta Flight Products are pretty cool and a great way to leverage the highly specialized skills of those staff.
We’ll be back again next week for another episode. In the meantime keep up with industry highlights at PaxEx.Aero and the APEX site.
