With the launch of its A321neo fleet late last month Delta Air Lines activated one of the most frequently requested passenger features on board: Bluetooth headphones pairing. That successful “soft launch” will soon extend to other aircraft fitted with the in-flight entertainment kit developed by its Delta Flight Products (DFP) subsidiary, including the A330neo and 767-400s.
With a growing fleet of aircraft equipped and on-board features deployed, the Delta Flight Products (DFP) inflight entertainment platform is a mature and reliable solution for the airline’s needs. The company saw revenues improve in the business aviation and global segments while the North American market held up pretty well. Things continued looking good into early 2020. But since the beginning of March, similar to airline demand, Gogo saw a “significant decline” in Asia followed by a “more pronounced decline” in recent days.
Some Delta Air Lines passengers will soon spot a new first class seat on board. As the A321neo joins the fleet starting later in 2020 the carrier will introduce a brand new design for the premium cabin on board, with better privacy, more space and other benefits.
