The Immfly inflight entertainment platform added a new retail sales channel in the sky for services on the ground. Built in partnership with GetYourGuide, the new offering allows airlines to sell a broad range of travel experiences on the ground via the Immfly system on board. Passengers can add to their activities at the destination while en route, while airlines have an opportunity to increase ancillary revenue through the system.
We’re on a mission to give the whole world access to incredible experiences. To do so, it’s critical we effectively leverage every stage of our customers’ journeys to engage and inspire them. Our partnership with Immfly represents a big step forward toward that goal, and we’re excited to work together to help even more travelers love where they’re going.
– Emil Martinsek, Chief Marketing Officer at GetYourGuide
Of particular note, the system does not require a live data connection to complete the transactions in the air. Offline aircraft can cache Booking data and availability on the Immfly system, completing the transactions when the plane gets back on the ground. This flexible approach allows for nearly the same experience delivered to much wider range of airlines and passengers.

The GetYourGuide catalog features more than 60,000 bookable travel experiences around the world. From walking tours by top local experts to immersive food and beverage tours to cooking and craft classes, bucket-list experiences, and niche offerings not found anywhere else, the company believes there’s a Guide to be matched with every passenger. It also includes more traditional tourism access offers, such as as skip-the-line tickets to some of the most iconic attractions around the world.
Aras Yildiz, VP Commercial for Immfly, notes that the company has “consistently focused on facilitating new ways for airlines to digitally enhance the experience and boost revenues on board” since launching in 2014. “Immfly’s latest integration with GetYourGuide,” he continues, “helps airlines yield additional benefits from our relentless innovation in cabin digital services.”
Those additional benefits come in the form of increase passenger satisfaction on board and and improved ancillary revenue streams. Immfly notes that the GetYourGuide revenue share is “built into the overall differentiated proposition Immfly offers, converting onboard cabin digital services & IFE into a revenue generator and moving it away from fixed cost.”
Airline customers already contracted for the new service, though Immfly cannot yet specify which. Passengers can expect to see this option flying in the very near future.
