Is it time to start getting excited about a travel rebound? It appears the market finally hit rock bottom so everything that happens is good news, though maybe not too much of it too quickly.
Airlines are talking about a rebound in booking numbers, and the TSA says it continues to screen more travelers, with the moving average slowly inching higher. Airlines across Europe are starting to publish new Summer 2020 schedules as well. While a 20-40% operation is tiny, it is infinitely better than the nothing that flew in April, so we’ll take the win.
We’re also looking at touchless options for passengers with United’s new bag tag kiosks. AirAsia is extending those digital solutions to its crew as well, with touchless options for flight briefing docs, according to COO Javid Malik.

Our guest this week is David Fairand, COO, Adaptive Channel, talking about the shift away from print magazines on board and we’re combining that with some interesting data out from Inadvia about trends in ad targeting and how that will shift as 3rd party cookies disappear from web browsers.
Finally, Neotex has a “Germ Trolley” that can load into the galley and be used to disinfect anything in flight. Or just open the door and let the blacklight keep the party hopping.
