EVA Air passenger will soon have access to the Arc in-flight map platform across the carrier’s long-haul fleet. The airline is upgrading its inflight entertainment experience to include the updated offering from Panasonic Avionics across its Boeing 787s, 777-300ERs, and the upcoming Airbus A350-1000 fleet.
EVA Air’s renowned focus on passenger experience and innovation makes them the perfect airline to launch our Young Explorer feature, and we are proud to be working with them to redefine the in-flight map experience across their fleet.

EVA’s implementation will include two alternate views layered on top of the core Arc platform, boosting the map’s value for travelers.
The airline will serve as the launch customer for Arc for Young Explorers. The child-focused option blends a dinosaur theme with the map data, bringing prehistoric pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus along the aircraft’s flight path.
Younger travelers get a dinosaur-themed option for the inflight map on EVA Air thanks to the new Arc for Young Explorers option
The map transforms into a virtual prehistoric museum, displaying dinosaurs that once inhabited the regions currently being flown over. Through vivid, playful animations, young passengers can learn about each dinosaur’s characteristics, behaviors, and background.
EVA will also activate the Arc Visata screensaver mode, integrating flight progress, visual effects, and aerial scenery into the display separate from the interactive map experience. This is ideal for those who prefer a more passive view of the trip progress than cycling through the many viewing angles Arc offers.
For those keen to explore the destination before arrival, Arc’s street-level maps (only available for select cities) offers point-of-interest details on local attractions. Passengers can tap in to find inspiration around sights and attractions to explore once on the ground.
In addition to the infotainment experience, EVA will implement Arc’s in-map advertising opportunities via the OneMedia platform. OneMedia allows the airline to directly manage, deploy, monitor and report on campaigns across its fleet.
The carrier holds firm orders from Airbus for 24 A350 aircraft. It currently operates more than 60 777s and 787s.
