Free Wi-Fi is coming to Air Canada‘s region jet fleet. And, unlike the messaging solution recently announced for the mainline flight, this service will be open for browsing, streaming, and more.
The news was confirmed Tuesday by Norman Haughton at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2023, where he unequivocally shared, “For the regionals we’re going to be full free from day one.”
The “day one” reference is, perhaps, a bit confusing given that the carrier’s regional fleet all has service today. In this case, however, Haughton is referring to a planned upgrade for the fleet to an as yet undisclosed satellite-based solution.
