Intelsat Commercial Aviation launches, retires Gogo name

The product will still be known at 2Ku, at least for now. But the in-flight connectivity company previously known as Gogo Commercial Aviation officially changed its name to Intelsat Commercial Aviation, less than a year after closing on the transaction.

Gogo hits 5G installation milestone

Gogo boosts unlimited streaming subscription option

Unlimited monthly data on board is now available on Gogo’s Biz 4G air-to-ground network. The option is one of three new pricing plans added to the company’s portfolio as it continues to see increased demand for higher bandwidth use cases, including streaming video services, from its business jet customers.

Gogo prices new debt, anticipates huge savings

Jet Edge upgrades to Gogo Business Aviation Streaming Wi-Fi

GTCR boosts Gogo stake

GTCR, a leading private equity firm, will convert all of its $105.7 million principal amount of Gogo’s 6.0% Convertible Senior Notes due 2022 into shares of Gogo’s common stock. The deal will see GTCR receive 19.1 million shared of Gogo stock, giving the company a 28.6% ownership stake in Gogo.

2Ku antenna challenges hit the A220

Air vortices off the 2Ku antenna system are once again causing troubles. This time it is the Airbus A220 affected, with some 65 fitted aircraft up for additional inspection and hardware replacement as a result.
