Air Astana will bring inflight connectivity to some of its longest routes. The carrier contracted with SES to install multi-orbit internet service on its A321LR fleet.
Today’s passengers expect to stay connected wherever they travel, whether they are working, keeping in touch with family and friends, or enjoying entertainment during their journey. Our partnership with SES will enable Air Astana to offer a modern, high-quality connectivity experience that reflects the premium service our customers expect. By combining multi-orbit satellite technology with our onboard experience, we are investing in greater comfort, convenience and value for our passengers. – Yelena Obukhova, Vice President
The service is complimentary for all passengers during the first three months of operations. From February 2027 that will change. Passengers in business class, as well as Gold and Diamond tier members in the Air Astana Nomad Club loyalty program, will continue to receive the service for free on board. Silver and Blue (i.e. just have an account) members will have access to complimentary messaging on board.
Economy class travelers will also have access to “flexible paid packages” on board, via the airline-branded portal. Pricing of the service is not available at this time.

The first configured aircraft (likely EI-KGB, based on flight tracking details) entered service last week. The remaining ten A321LR planes will be fitted in the months ahead.
