The renewed Alaska Airlines airport lobby will still have plenty of kiosks, though they'll be wholly dedicated to printing bag tags, not other functions

Alaska Airlines was an early believer in the efficiency and advantages passenger kiosks could bring to the airport check-in lobby. Now the airline believes that era is over.

United plans touchless bag tag kiosks

United Airlines wants to make it even easier for travelers to print their own bag tags at check-in kiosks. A new option to be tested this month will allow passengers to complete the process without ever touching the machines.
