JetBlue‘s partnerships with American Airlines and Qatar Airways continue to expand. The carrier announced new loyalty program benefits this week, giving TrueBlue members access to options with the partner programs.
More legroom for Mosaic
TureBlue Mosaic members flying on American Airlines can now select Main Cabin Extra seating on the day of travel without paying extra. AAdvantage elites receive a reciprocal benefit for access to Even More Space seats on JetBlue flights.
JetBlue Mosaic passengers on AA can also now access their complimentary two checked bags benefit at a kiosk. Previously this required working with a counter agent.
Reward redemption coming to Qatar
As part of an expanded commercial partnership, Qatar Airways and JetBlue plan to grow their frequent flyer program integration. Travelers today can earn points in either TrueBlue or Privilege Club when flying on either airline. Moving forward, the companies expect to offer an award redemption option as well. Timing for this was not disclosed.
With the recent shift of the Qatar Airways program to Avios as its currency, and the ability to move points between the various Avios programs, this should present an interesting workaround to allow British Airways Executive Club members to also redeem for JetBlue flights in the future.
