The new Star Alliance credit card, first teased in May of this year, is now live in Australia. Launched in partnership with HSBC, the first of its kind co-brand credit card allows members to earn Star Alliance Points and elite status with seven partner airline loyalty programs.
The airBaltic club loyalty program now reaches almost everywhere in the world. Thanks to a new partnership with Air France and KLM, members can both earn and redeem points for travels with the two larger airlines. Though, like with most such deals, there are some notable limitations.

Australia is reopening its borders, and Qantas is ready to take advantage of the pent up demand for travel. The airline will accelerate the return of many international routes, as well as larger aircraft, to support consumer demand. It is also adding a frequent flyer twist, with several “points planes” loaded for travelers.
Buried in a release about an expansion of codeshare routes between JetBlue and Qatar Airways is news that the pair will also establish recipocity for frequent flyer points earning and redemption. Details are scarce, but any growth on that front should be welcome for TrueBlue program members.
Alaska Airlines wants to expand its frequent flyer base in California, and free flights are on offer. The company will give away up to 25,000 round trip flights to California residents that joins the loyalty program this week.
Members of the Air Canada Aeroplan loyalty program have a new option to expand their travels into Australia. The carrier announced that Virgin Australia will be a partner for both earning and redemption of frequent flyer points as of 19 January 2021.
It is time for the Spirit Airlines loyalty program to grow up. And the new version launching today appears to be far more rewarding, or at least it holds that potential.
