Ravn Alaska is joining Alaska Airlines‘ Mileage Plan loyalty program. The new partnership will allow travelers to earn Mileage Plan points on Ravn’s network of flights to small Alaskan communities from Anchorage.
Ravn Alaska is proud to announce that customers can now benefit from our expanded relationship with Alaska Airlines.
– Rob McKinney, CEO of Ravn
The news, first tipped last week, also means that travelers on Ravn can eventually redeem those points earned on Alaska Airlines or on it many partners, including all members of the oneworld alliance.
“Ravn Alaska is one way to offer Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members the ability to earn and redeem miles for trips connecting within Alaska to our extensive out of state network,” said Marilyn Romano, Regional VP Alaska Airlines.
Ravn operates Dash-8-100 and –300 planes across Alaska including to Aniak, Cold Bay, Dillingham, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, King Salmon, Sand Point, St. Mary’s, St. Paul Island, Unalakleet and Valdez.
This is the latest in a series of moves by Ravn to try to extend its reach well beyond the range of its turboprop fleet. The carrier also plans to add international routes with a “new” fleet of 757s. How those would participate in the program, especially as it will operate under different branding, will be interesting to see play out.

I’m guessing I’m one of the few here that this actually affects but I’m happy about it. A lot of my work trips are to communities served by ravn. It’d be nice if they could bring back their ANC-BET service too.
