Lufthansa to park A380s, A340-600s

Facing a revised demand forecast roughly half of what it previously anticipated, Lufthansa will move its remaining A380s and A340-600s into long-term storage. The carrier expects that they will “only be reactivated in the event of an unexpectedly rapid market recovery.” The move affects eight A380 and ten A340-600 planes.

Peek inside the largest converted cargo aircraft flying today

Emirates puts Premium Economy on hold

Travelers have been waiting for years to see a new premium economy cabin arrive at Emirates. And, unfortunately, it appears the wait will stretch a bit longer. The carrier is reported to be delaying the retrofit of its existing aircraft, keeping the new cabin out of reach for passengers.

Lufthansa announces major, permanent fleet restructuring

Airbus brings A321 production to Toulouse, replacing A380 work

Out with the A380, in with the A321neo. Airbus announced its intention to convert its A380 Lagardère facility in Toulouse to a final assembly line for the spectacularly popular and well-selling A321neo. The transition is expected to occur by mid-2022.

Air France to swap A380, A340 fleets for A350 with expanded order
