RwandAir plans JFK service launch (again)

Previously tipped for a 2019 launch, RwandAir is once again planning flights to the USA. The carrier filed its application with the US Department of Transportation this week to operate service to New York on its own A330s. It anticipates beginning the operations in December 2021.

United announces new long-haul routes for 2021

Airline route networks must adapt to shifting demand and long-haul operations are no exception. United Airlines is the latest player to make a move on that front, announcing seven routes today with service slated to launch between December and Summer 2021. The carrier will be reopening some destinations, expanding others and inaugurating a couple of markets never before served.

Ethiopian pushes Togo as a gateway to America

Ethiopian Airlines will soon connect Los Angeles with Lomé, Togo. The shift adds just over two hours to the trip between Los Angeles and Addis but also creates significant additional connecting opportunities for passengers and positions Lomé as the new African gateway to the USA.
