13 March 2019 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

With the bulk of the global 737 MAX fleet grounded the impact to passengers is very real. Canceled flights, delays and rebookings will affect hundreds of thousands of travelers each day. Inflight connectivity providers will also be impacted as their systems are grounded.

9 October 2018 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

Lufthansa Technik recently performed the first major connectivity modifications on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Neither LHT nor the airline will confirm the customer involved but PaxEx.Aero research suggests it is the Global Eagle kit on flyDubai’s A6-MAX frame.

Connecting another batch of MAX: flyDubai’s radomes spotted

22 August 2018 By Seth Miller

FlyDubai's 737 MAX aircraft feature the carrier's newest interior (including lie-flat beds in business class). Alas, as delivered from Boeing the passenger experience of these planes was incomplete as they did not carry an inflight wifi service on board. Sharp eyes will note that some of the planes are finally sporting radomes. That's good news for passengers and for the vendor delivering the connectivity service on board.

Emirates Skywards swallows flyDubai OPEN

1 July 2018 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

The long slog to full integration of Emirates and flyDubai continues apace. This week’s announcement brings the loyalty programs of the two carriers together. And the move looks an awful lot like a shotgun wedding, with minimal regard for the flyDubai OPEN members’ history with that program.

The new flydubai business class cabin is pretty sexy. But expect more than just new seats as a couple hundred 737s are delivered with the beds on board.

This story is about: 737MAX, B/E Aerospace, Boeing, British Airways, business class, Emirates, flydubai, PaxEx, Privatair, Rockwell Collins, Vantage Filed Under: Seats & Cabin
