SmartSky, StandardAero secure certification on Embraers

SmartSky took another step forward as it seeks to deliver its ATG wifi solution later this year. Certification on the E135/140/145 family, facilitated by StandardAero, brings JetSuiteX (and potentially others) much closer to flying with the service.

Another fleet added to the Gogo AVANCE L3 portfolio

Coming on the heels of yesterday’s strong earnings report for Gogo’s Business Aviation segment the company announced a new deal today for the Gogo AVANCE L3 platform. Fractional jet services operator Airshare will equip its fleet of Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft with the kit, bringing inflight wifi connectivity online for its customers.

Best of Farnborough 2018: Embraer’s big win

S7 seeks smaller Sukhoi SuperJet

Alaska Airlines dumps Dallas-Washington, DC/New York City routes

A lonely Alaska Airlines sign in the Marine Air Terminal at LaGuardia Airport in NYC. The carrier moved in just last December and soon will be gone.

Alaska Airlines is pulling the plug on Virgin America’s mid-continent hub at Dallas’s Love Field; routes to NYC’s LaGuardia and Wasington, DC’s Reagan National are being slashed later this year.

JetBlue joins the NYC Shuttle market
