Fighting for the middle: A pandemic seating shift

11 May 2020 By Seth Miller 2 Comments

Sitting in the middle seat on the Molon Labe S1 Staggered Seat. Plenty of width to be had.

8 May 2020 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

This week’s episode is all about the middle seat. Should it be blocked? How would airlines approach that task? And one briefly tried to charge passengers for that luxury, though quickly backed down when politicians got angry.

20 April 2020 By Seth Miller 5 Comments

The Aviointeriors Janus seat concept offers an interesting new take for economy class.

Just how much will passenger expectations shift in the post-COVID19 world? Airlines press back on accessible lavatory plans

4 March 2020 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

One of many smaller lavatories on the market and available to airlines. The US DoT is proposing some small changes to regulations around these lavs, but they come up far short of mandating an equivalent travel experience for passengers with reduced mobility.

Airlines are not keen to update the on-board lavatory experience to support passengers with reduced mobility, citing costs and limited options as part of the objections.

10 February 2020 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

Bringing a new class of service online is a major effort for any airline. LATAM Airlines’ new premium economy deployment is staggered, but rolling it out across the entire operation less than half a year after the decision was made is mighty impressive. Keeping the options simple overall helped the airline to reach this goal.
