American launches Flagship Suites, retires Flagship First

The new American Airlines Flagship Suite on the 787-9 offers a fully flat bed, sliding door for privacy, and a single piece tray table, among other amenities.

Flagship First Class is dead. Long live the Flagship Suite. American Airlines will introduce a new Flagship Suite seat to its long haul fleet from 2024. With that move, the carrier’s Flagship First class cabin will be no more.

Air Canada selects Intelsat 2Ku for A321 internet service

Air Canada’s A321 fleet will soon fly with the Intelsat 2Ku in-flight internet solution. Under the agreement the carrier will upgrade its offering for 15 existing aircraft, while also taking 15 new deliveries with the system installed from the Airbus factory in Hamburg.

Air Canada announced plans to acquire 26 A321XLR aircraft, updating its long-haul offerings. The aircraft will be used for flights within North America, as well as some Transatlantic markets, pending approval from Transport Canada regulators.

Qantas picks Airbus for fleet refresh
