SmartSky secures FCC certification

Ravn Alaska registers Northern Pacific name for transpacific LCC operations

Last week news broke that commuter carrier Ravn Alaska plans a major shift to add long-haul operations via its Anchorage hub. Now it is clear that the company is serious about that play. It registered a trio of new trade names with the Department of Transportation to operate the new services.

US bans sale of flights to Belarus

Last week the US Department of Transportation proposed banning the sale of flights between the US and Belarus. Today, following no objections being filed, that ban takes effect.

NXTCOMM scores ESA customer order

Air Canada fights back, disputes $25 million DOT fine

A year ago, as passengers started pressing Air Canada for refunds against cancelled flights, the airline fought back. Now, in the wake of a proposed $25 million penalty for its actions, the carrier is repeating those positions directly to the US Department of Transportation.
