Anuvu is out of the maritime, energy, and government connectivity business. The company sold that segment off to FMC GlobalSat in a transaction that closed on 30 April 2024.

Inmarsat picks mini-GEO for L-band future

The next generation of Inmarsat satellites will be significantly smaller than today’s GEO hardware. The company announced plans to launch a trio of mini-GEO satellites, developed by SWISSto12, by 2026 to bolster its L-band network.

Norwegian renews IFC contract with Anuvu

Viasat, Inmarsat receive provisional merger approval from UK

Should the Viasat/Inmarsat merger eventually close, the company may need to send a thank you present to the Starlink team at SpaceX. After four months of additional review, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) issued a provisional approval to the combination, and the upstart LEO operator is cited as a major factor in the determination.
