Delta upgrades long-haul economy dining experience

United expands stroopwafel catering

Stroopwafels are back on United, now on all Domestic flights, all day long

United Airlines has heard the stroopwafel pleas. After removing the Dutch treat from its cabins in mid-2018 the carrier reintroduced them in a limited fashion earlier this year. As of 1 July 2019, however, the snacks will be available for economy class passengers on every domestic flight, regardless of departure time.

Pepsi and Pouring: JetBlue switches up inflight catering plans

JetBlue is making two significant changes to its inflight service process in the coming months. The carrier will switch from Coke to Pepsi for the complimentary beverages in “Core” economy class. The carrier will also transition away from the single-serving mini water bottles to a poured offering from 1.5L bottles. The changes will begin to fly in early June 2019.

Aer Lingus launches AerSpace, joining the EuroBiz club

Aer Lingus passengers now have the option to purchase a “business class” seat on many short-haul routes. The carrier officially launched AerSpace, a EuroBiz-ish offering with a blocked middle seat on board and other amenities on offer.

SpiceJet launches streaming IFE solution fleet-wide

More than a year after committing to the platform SpiceJet rolled out its inflight entertainment offering today. The BYOD streaming solution, branded SpicEngage, offers, video content, games, reading options and more. Passengers access the system using their own mobile devices. The system, based on Lufthansa Systems’ BoardConnect platform is available fleet-wide, covering both 737 and Q400 aircraft.
