The deals keep rolling in for ATPCO as it secures another customer for its Routehappy Rich Content offering. Bahrain’s Gulf Air signed a five year contract to include the content on the GulfAir.com website as part of the company’s efforts to modernize and enhance its flight shopping display.
New Distribution Capability
Chalk up another win for ATPCO and the Routehappy rich content it distributes. Kayak signed a deal last week to bring the details into its metasearch engine, helping passengers to better understand what they are purchasing, beyond just a seat from point A to point B.
Some Southwest Airlines customers will soon see expanded options when shopping for flights. The carrier announced today that it is joining the NDC Exchange platform, operated by ATPCO and SITA, modernizing the distribution of its air fare data.
Peace is possible between the airlines and GDS platforms! Air France/KLM and Amedeus agreed to waive distribution fees in some cases, benefiting passengers in the near term. But it is the longer term plans around NDC content distribution that hold real potential for an improved passenger experience.
