Beyond Multi-orbit: Multi-beam Driving Inflight Connectivity Innovation

17 March 2025 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

looking down on a trade show floor with lots of booths and people.

Yes, multi-orbit satellite solutions are the near-term future of inflight connectivity. But multi-beam offerings are set to dominate sales conversations as service providers look to add resiliency, reliability, and flexibility for their airline partners.

ThinAir Plus partner picked

30 October 2024 By Seth Miller Leave a Comment

In an industry full of poorly kept secrets, confirmation of one has finally emerged. Since teasing the ThinAir Plus antenna concept at Satellite 2023 and confirming it at AIX 2023 ThinKom has been loathe to confirm an ESA antenna partner. Until now.

Intelsat's CRJ-700 just completed its initial LEO/GEO connectivity testing with the Stellar Blu antenna kit on board

Will airlines hit their 2025 target to replace the inflight internet services on smaller planes in North America? Probably. But the sequence and timing on those appears to be shifting a bit.
