
Starlink launched its commercial aviation offering with an incredibly simple premise: bandwidth solves everything. The company avoided networking complexity, integration complexity, portal complexity, standards complexity, and just about anything else it could get away with. And that worked, at least initially.
A couple years – and several thousand committed aircraft – into the process, the Starlink offering continues to mature. Many of the previously dismissed complexities are now part of the company’s offerings, and more are included with each hardware iteration.
