Austrian confirms Dreamliner future

United dreams big with massive 787 order

United Airlines is dreaming big for the next decade. The carrier announced an order today for 100 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, plus 100 more options, to fuel its widebody fleet replacement and growth strategy. By the end of the decade, assuming the options are exercised, more than 80% of United’s long-haul flying could be on 787s.

Alaska Airlines MAXes out with updated order book

Alaska Airlines crew getting up close with one of the newest jets, a 737 MAX 9 soon to join the fleet.

Alaska Airlines will add 52 more 737 MAX to its fleet over the next five years, the largest single aircraft commitment in its history. The carrier exercised all of the options it held from its landmark December 2020 Boeing order, with deliveries due through 2027.

WestJet adds MAX 10 to fleet plan

No MAX 7s for Southwest this year

At the beginning of 2022 Southwest Airlines anticipated taking delivery of more than 70 new Boeing 737 MAX 7 aircraft through the year. Seven months into the year, with FAA certification timing still unclear, the carrier revised that number to zero.
