TSI Aviation Seats gains access to Airbus BFE catalog

Airlines purchasing the A350, A330/neo and A320/neo family aircraft now have a new option for a seating supplier. TSI Aviation Seats, a joint operation led by Turkish Technic, is now listed in the BFE catalog opening up new sales channels for the operation.

The clock is ticking on Hong Kong Airlines’ demise

For Hong Kong Airlines the death watch clock is officially running. The beleaguered company has just five days to raise significant fresh capital. Failure to reach that goal will likely see the airline’s operating certificate revoked.

For Hong Kong Airlines the future is very, very uncertain. Cuts continue it is unlikely they will be enough to keep the carrier afloat too much longer barring a significant cash infusion and restructuring of the business. This week it is the inflight entertainment system that disappeared.

Inmarsat’s GX-5 launches successfully, kicking off the next phase of the GX story

Inmarsat’s GX-5 satellite successfully reached orbit on Tuesday, beginning its mission to dramatically increase Ka-band capacity over Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It also represents a key milestone as the GX Aviation prodcut evolves. It is not just about the increased capacity, though that bandwidth makes the future plans easier and less expensive to deliver.

Norwegian to axe long-haul services from Copenhagen, Stockholm

Norwegian made many changes in recent months as it sought to shore its finances. The latest news from the airline, however, is a massive shift. Reports indicate that the airline will halt long-haul operations from Stockholm and Copenhagen effective with the end of the IATA Winter 2020 season on 29 March 2020.

IndiGo faces major setback in A320neo service due to GTF PW1100G engines

India’s largest airline has a major problem. After multiple inflight engine shutdowns IndiGo must replace all its PW1100G engines with an updated model. And Indian regulators are now looking to ground aircraft ahead of a January 2020 deadline, concerned that sufficient progress on the repairs is not being made.

Gulf Air picks Routehappy Rich Content from ATPCO for digital merchandising

AirAsia takes delivery of its first A321neo

AirAsia’s fleet development took a step forward last week as the carrier’s first A321neo was delivered from Airbus. The carrier has 353 A321neo aircraft on order, with the new deliveries slated for network expansion and replacement of older A320 family aircraft over time.
