Schiphol capacity slashed, US government responds

TSA tweaks banned items list

Some knives without blades are no longer permitted on planes. That is one of the key updates to the TSA’s prohibited items list, published today. The updates also now account for air-powered firearms, creating standards which allow them to be carried as checked luggage.

Akbar Al Baker out as Qatar Airways CEO

His Excellency Akbar Al Baker will, presumably, no longer be referred to as “Chief.” He is out as Qatar Airways Group CEO as of 5 November 2023 after 27 years at the helm, and it comes with almost no notice.

But, perhaps, there were signs over the past few weeks this was on the horizon.
