KLM kicked offline by Intelsat 29e outage

When the Intelsat 29e satellite failed last month anchor tenant Panasonic Avionics indicated that it had mitigated the loss of capacity for all customers. One airline is now suggesting the mitigation efforts were insufficient.

United Airlines introduced a new marketing campaign this week, tied in to the launch of Spider-Man™: Far From Home. The deal includes an updated safety video and Polaris amenity kit for business class passengers. United is also launching an opportunity for its MileagePlus members to bid miles to attend premier parties for the movie around the country in advance of its widespread release on July 2, 2019.

Inflight connectivity provider Gogo delivered a strong quarter in Q1 2019, topping analyst earnings estimates. The numbers also show a few areas that remain critical for long-term success and are not necessarily moving in the right direction as quickly as could be expected. The company's "growth engine" of global carriers in particular raises questions, some of which the company declined to answer, about where the improvements will really occur.
