Aeromexico confirms Viasat connectivity on MAX fleet

Aeromexico confirmed its plans to add Viasat’s Ka-band connectivity on the 737 MAX fleet. The announcement at APEX Expo this morning confirms the long-rumored plans between the two and adds 18 planes to the Viasat fleet in North America. Aeromexico has options for an additional 60 MAX planes to be fitted with the Viasat kit.

EXPO Preview: What’s on tap this week

The annual APEX EXPO is less than 24 hours away and anticipation for this year’s event is high. Many suppliers are promising big new throughout the week. Singapore Airlines’ first A350 ULR takes the long way home

The first A35-900 ULR delivery to Singapore Airlines took quite the detour, flying nearly polar, similar to the path it will fly to North America in just a couple weeks.

The first A350-900 ULR flew home to Singapore on Saturday. The routing it took was rather less than ordinary, lasting more than 16 hours and included a visit to the North Pole.

Air New Zealand expanding Inmarsat GX deployment

Swoop: A marketing machine that happens to fly planes

PaxEx Premium: Spirit’s wifi installs begin

Hawaiian to Boston: New longest domestic flight

Hawaiian Airlnes' A330 (N375HA) inbound to LAX

Hawaiian will soon operate a new longest domestic US flight. The carrier will launch service 5x weekly between Honolulu and Boston starting on 4 April 2019. The 5,095 mile flight is the longest domestic US route, besting the Honolulu-JFK service by just over 100 miles.
